Some jobs are really
part of a "team" which would work well for families or cousin "groupings". Please
note everyone is responsible for their own hand protection i.e. either leather gloves
or gardening gloves for outdoor jobs or rubber gloves for inside cleaning, etc.,
and dress appropriately.
· If you know you're going to do outdoor work that requires certain tools that the Beach doesn't have, then bring some from home.
· A volunteer should make the Costco run for T.P, soaps, paper towels, and other consumable supplies.
1. Raking, mowing, weeding, pruning.
2. Sweep or hose off A-frame deck, basketball court, and all walkways.
3. Stack wood left outside the wood shed inside the wood shed.
4. Relocating/disposing of grass clippings being collected at edge of "Sullivan Park" (this is off our property line and messy looking)
5. Controlled burning of debris if there's a low tide?
6. Clean outdoor furniture.
1. Remove all boats (and beach equipment) from "winter storage" to appropriate "summer storage".
2. Take an inventory of boats and equipment making recommendations for additions and deletions.
3. Throw out the unusable or unsafe.
1. Strip sheets, take them, and any other sheets from other bedrooms, to Poulsbo laundry mat, and put back on mattresses.
2. Clean toilets, tub/shower, and vanity sink areas
3. Remove miscellaneous "stuff" being stored in the bunkhouse to more appropriate locations.
4. Hold a "garage sale" for unclaimed items or dispose.
5. Remove storage "drawers", sweep/vacuum then mop all floor surfaces! Replace storage drawers (after floor dries).
1. Clean-out and clean-up refrigerator/freezers in A-Frame and Addition.
2. Sort, organize, dispose as needed anything in the A-Frame Pantry, cupboards, under the sinks, on top of the refrigerators., etc.
3. Inventory kitchen equipment both A-Frame/Addition.
4. Create essential "wish list".
1. Clean all toilets, tubs, shower stalls and floors of all bathrooms in A-frame and Addition
1. Dust all horizontal surfaces (low and high) A-Frame and Addition
2. Use furniture vacuum attachment on all upholstered furniture in A-Frame
3. Vacuum, sweep, and wet mop as appropriate all floor surfaces in A-Frame and Addition (including A-frame Loft and all stairs).
4. Remove cobwebs.
1. All windows inside and out in A-Frame and Addition (some may need special equipment so we'll need an "expert" captain on this job to ensure the safety of its crew).
1. Clean the laundry room in A-frame, organizing under the sink, and in cupboards above the sink, and cleaning tool rack.
2. Dispose of unusable items.
3. Submit inventory of needed supplies to Supplies person (below).
4. Organize the "Linen Closet" (one of the storage closets in A-Frame lower floor).
5. Check all beds in A-Frame and Addition for any cleaning needs. Give any dirty linens to "Bunkhouse Crew" laundry mat runner.
6. Make recommendations to Associates regarding inventory needs.
1. Inspect Storage Closets (except for the "Linens" one), organize, inventory, and dispose of unusable items.
2. Replace all burned out light bulbs.
1. Check on the status of all planters, and landscape plantings.
2. Water, fertilize (weed planters) and make additions as needed. Alert the Family about required watering care throughout the summer.
